Exercise before, during, and after pregnancy has been shown to benefit women and have minimal risks. Benefits can include a decreased risk of preeclampsia, or high blood pressure, developed during pregnancy.
With appropriate exercise, pregnancy can be a healthy experience and create good physical activity behaviors.
