Our story
The Happy Mama Expo has been held every year since 2020. It began as a virtual gathering, reaching expecting and new families across the country with expert voices in maternal health, and grew year after year into a San Diego tradition. Past Expos have welcomed leaders from DONA International, the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, alongside innovators, educators, entertainers, and the families at the heart of it all.
Through every year, one belief has never changed: no one should walk the path to parenthood alone.
What is new in 2026
A new home. This is the first Expo hosted at Happy Mama's own space, the new Reach Healthcare | Happy Mama Wellness Hub. Happy Mama has always operated virtually and through partner locations; the Hub is its first ever brick-and-mortar home, with studio space, a relaxation lounge, and dedicated learning and healing spaces. Partner locations continue to serve families across San Diego.
Wellness sessions. A full lineup including mommy and me yoga, gentle prenatal yoga, and breathwork for relaxation. Sessions are selected at registration.
Drop-in CPR demonstrations. Little Heartbeats CPR offers infant and child CPR demonstrations at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. No registration needed; stop by.
A full day of celebration. Information booths, maternity products and services vendors, trivia and games, swag bags, food, a photo booth, and giveaways throughout the day.

"When I started the Happy Mama Expo, I wanted to create the kind of day I wished every mother could experience: a place where she is celebrated, supported, and reminded of how much she matters. Six years later, that vision has a home. The Wellness Hub is more than a building. It is a promise that mothers in San Diego will always have a place to belong.
